Lifelong Learning is a Government-supported website for the encouragement, promotion and development of lifelong learning, supported by the Individual Learning Division of the Department for Education and Skills. It features information on funding, government programmes, outreach projects and more.
- NIACE
NIACE (the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education) exists to encourage more and different adults to engage in learning of all kinds. They campaign for, and celebrate the achievements of, all adult learners. It is the largest organisation working to promote the interests of learners and potential learners in England and Wales.
- Campaign for Learning
The Campaign for Learning is a national charity that aims to create a passion for learning that sustains people for life. They also offer a range of services to organisations that wish to build motivation, create opportunities and provide support for learning in families, communities and the workplace.
- VOLG
(West Sussex) Voluntary Organisations Liaison Group: A voluntary and community sector network promoting social inclusion. Membership is free and the organisation is funded to pass on information to voluntary and community sector organisations and to involve them on matters that might affect them and the people/communities they work with.
- SVCSLC
Sussex Voluntary and Community Sector Learning Consortium: A group of more than 60 voluntary and community organisations involved in providing and promoting adult learning.
- NCVO
The National Council for Voluntary Organisations: The organisation's vision is of a society in which people are inspired to make a positive difference to their communities. A registered charity and a limited company, it is a highly effective lobbying organisation and represents the views of its members, and the wider voluntary sector to government, the European Union and other bodies. They also conduct research into, and analysis of, the voluntary sector.
- NAVCA
The National Association for Voluntary and Community Action: The organisation's purpose is to promote the local third sector nationally. They provide members with information, advice, networking and learning opportunities, support and development services. They use their members' experience to influence government and contribute to national policy. They also work closely with other national bodies to ensure a collaborative approach to policy development. The overall aim is to help combat poverty, disadvantage and discrimination, and to improve the quality of life for communities, groups and individuals.
